With smarter insights, you’d be able to manage your channel much more efficiently. Towards the conclusion of 2017’s Trace Software, YouTube announced it would be developing a new YouTube Creator Studio-their current channel management system- from the scratch. This new version, named as YouTube Studio, would help video developers manage their channels in a more efficient way, get a complete redesign of their channels, some new features, a new way to sort comments according to topic as well as a new smart inbox. YouTube also mentioned the expansion of Super Chat, a feature that allows the creators to monetize video comments to 17 additional countries.
According to the official announcement, YouTube Studio’s design will be more refined, incorporating features requested by the creator community for some time now. YouTube says the new “smart” inbox will offer suggestions for engaging with fans and collaborating with creators.
A screenshot was provided by YouTube of the new comments section, which indicates it would easily be the most visible change for the users. From the initial understanding, it looks like there will be a new “Popular comment topics” section just above the comments, which would allow the user to sort the comments according to most used keywords in the replies. Users would be able to disable this feature, if they prefer.
No official launch date for the YouTube Studio was mentioned in the announcement. You tube is inviting the creators to sign up for the beta launch and test out the features.
The announcement for YouTube Studio is another in a long line of recent announcements by YouTube, such as new markets for YouTube TV, addition of dynamic video sizes, introducing new VR formats for videos. We should expect the frequency of announcements to drop down now.
